How did Jesus Christ approach trouble and tribulation during his betrayal and crucifixion? Drawing from the Passion Week narrative in John 12, Dr. Philip Ryken examines how our Lord underwent trials and difficulty at the Cross that dwarfed any He had experienced so far. While most of us would seek to avoid trouble at any cost, Jesus obeyed His Father, embracing the calling of the Cross. Truly, Jesus understood what it was like to be in trouble. Rather than turning away, as He was tempted to do, Jesus faithfully carried out His mission on Earth. Motivated by the highest of ambitions—the glory of God—Jesus followed this purpose to the end of His life.
