Hurricanes. Earthquakes. Fires. Mass shootings. Sadly, disasters were all-too-frequent headlines around the country and globe in 2017.
How can we as Christians demonstrate God’s love and care for the vulnerable during such events? Our response requires an understanding that disasters are ongoing humanitarian crises that engage a variety of justice issues, and are not just one-time events.
Join the Humanitarian Disaster Institute, Billy Graham Center and Wheaton College Graduate School on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 7 p.m. in Meyer Science Center at Wheaton College for an evening that will explore the many justice issues that surround disaster events. You’ll better understand how best to pursue justice in the wake of disaster.
You’ll also learn about the new M.A. in Humanitarian & Disaster Leadership program, designed to prepare the next generation of humanitarian and disaster professionals to lead with faith and humility, utilize evidence-based practice, and serve the most vulnerable and the Church globally.
