In this advent season, we’re reminded that the term “advent” is more than just the one-time coming of Christ in the flesh: it’s the recurring daily encounter that we have with Jesus, who is always there, always listening, and always watching for when He is most needed in our lives. When we cry out to Him, like the blind Bartimaeus, we are prophesying our promise and releasing that which has bound us. Our foundation in faith is what keeps us crying out to God that He may defeat our pain, display our position, and determine our path. Have you seen He who will open the eye of your spirit?
