In the last two weeks of March 2020, over 1000 cases of overt racism were committed against Asian Americans throughout the country, including acts of physical violence. The Asian American Christian Collaborative drafted a statement to oppose this racism as well as to equip the church to address the rise in violence. Wheaton College’s very own Ray Chang served as one of the lead drafters to the statement. Join him, along with others who helped shape the statement, for a live webinar about some of the realities surrounding the Asian American community and how the church can engage in the issues.
Webinar participants include Michelle Reyes, Ph.D. from Hope Community Church, Gabriel J. Catanus, M.Div. from Garden City Community Church, Russell Jeung, Ph.D. from San Francisco State University, and Jeff M. Liou, Ph.D. from Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.
