To be “girded” means to clothe yourself with something, dressed or redressed for a purpose. When Jesus laid down His garments, He girded Himself in a towel to wash His disciples’ feet. Why was a king who came from the very heavens He made washing the feet of His creations? He was teaching us how to be humble, how to serve, and how to clothe ourselves with a vulnerable spirit that isn't distracted by detractors but is defined by our destiny. For when you gird yourself with God, you are being guided into your next dimension.
