Performers are trained to put on a good show—they want you to look at them and see how good they are. Leaders should be the opposite of performers. Leaders should be looking at others, seeing their potential and ultimately helping their people achieve their own standing ovation. Rather than trying to impress people, leaders should make it their goal to impact people.
