A friend challenged me to show her where being "slain in the Spirit" occurs in scripture. What I found was when the Spirit of God overwhelmed people, such as the apostle John in Revelation, they fell face forward at the feet of Jesus. I also found a couple of commentaries that do not accept this practice. Is being "slain in the spirit" for real? I don't know what to think about this.
