Before you start passing along referrals—as to people, places to go, eat or experience, things to use, buy or be a part of—take a long look at yourself. Who are you? What do you represent? Because your referral will fall short if you are not someone of value. Likewise, your value will be diminished if you refer someone or something not worthy of your support.
