How can we drag people out of tyranny and socialism?
Then again I suppose I repeat myself. From some of my experiences it is like saving a drowning
man from the ocean, as it must be done correctly or else both of you will drown.
With rescuing there are strategies. From behind there is the choke-hold method; and from the
front there is the punch them in the face method, followed up by the choke-hold method. How
can one apply these methods in the circumstances of socialism and tyranny? The first problem
in this is that they don’t realize that they are drowning, and there is no immediate requirement
to justify turning to a panic-State which would open up the realization that they require an
avenue of escape, thus even a hint of needing rescue. The predicament seems to precisely be
that when it comes to this issue, it remains in the unconscious. Trapped within the unconscious
state, not much can be done, and animalistic behaviours do escape as sullen, depressed
lashings out, beyond reason and logic, in fact it becomes quite the achievement of pure
abandonment of logos through such discourse, so much so it may even begin to affect the
revealer, who may find himself cursing the unconscious, however absurd that may seem. The
spirit within that makes one truly human, it would seem, is the thing which needs be awakened,
made conscious. Oh how ironic it is that the scientific can be used to blind equally as much as
it reveals; oh how ironic that these same people laugh at the religious for their dogmatism, yet
never yield an inch from their scientific absolution (I of course use THAT word in jest).
Perhaps it is I, who plays the part of the fool, perhaps in my own coming into consciousness I
have forgotten my coming into the light? It is worthy of entertainment, but I feel I have dealt
with this to at least some degree below absolute.
Fools rush in, and are as quickly dismissed, and at times, dispatched, sometimes with extreme
Archetypally, the fool often reveals fate, reveals the truths you push into your unconscious. The
fool is the ignition sparks for the hero, the one who becomes conscious in order to do a heroic
act. But what is a hero but a fool who rushes in, and is accepted into consciousness? Perhaps
they are one in the same. Let us return to the analogy of the drowning man. One might call a
rescuer a hero, or are they merely a fool? The hero could drown in the attempt to rescue the
man. The man, in an animal state beyond reason may in his violent throes, in a vain attempt at
survival could harm the hero.
Yet the hero makes the attempt, at risk of life and limb. He approaches the virulent, semi-
conscious socialist, and calmly explains why the Labour Theory of Value is irrational; the fact
that wages are voluntary time-preference differentials and not exploitative. The drowning
Marxists explain that one must read the works of Marx in order to understand (that one
perhaps can in fact breathe water), yet cannot explain their reasoning. I can however
demonstrate why this is all empty rhetoric, a cynical appeal to rationality by a follower of an
ideology built upon irrational and unsubstantiated claims. They claim that labour is the
determinative property of value in a product or service, which is simply untrue.
Labour may be one aspect as to determining what something costs to produce, but it cannot
calculate value. Value is determined by supply and demand. Someone could spend a decade
collecting rocks from the tops of mountains at great cost, yet those rocks are completely
worthless and thusly have very little value. Likewise, you may come across lumps of gold while
hiking, and with very little effort, find many buyers for it and have it be worth an immense sum.
You could also give the exact same ingredients to two different people, to bake a pie, and one
comes out as an absolute delicacy, while the other becomes an absolutely inedible mess. So
how can the “Labour Theory of Value” hold any water whatsoever?
