As physicians and healthcare providers the image of our patients is becoming increasingly blurred by the pressures and perspectives of contemporary medicine and culture. How should we view those who come to us for care?
To answer this, Dr. Cutillo will draw on central themes from his book, Pursuing Health in an Anxious Age (Crossway, 2016), reminding us that what we see depends on how we look. He will compare and contrast some ancient perspectives on patient care, including Dante, Nietzsche, and the Bible, and explain how looking back may help us see the way forward.
