Parenting four kids is no mean feat, but Frankie and Swee Pei's journey comes with additional concerns—their youngest, Luther, has Williams Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.
When the diagnosis was given, Luther was only 5-months old. The next two years were then filled with therapies and check-ups at the hospital, to monitor his vital organs and developmental milestones.
Some days were harder than the rest—days when they blamed themselves, endured stares from strangers, and had to come to terms with Luther's developmental delays. It's been a rough ride filled with heartaches and struggles, but five years on, Frankie and Swee Pei have found peace and assurance in God, to raise Luther according to his pace.
"He is still unique and precious in God's eyes, and the same goes for us. I am proud of Luther and how far he has walked the journey with the family."
