Many followers of Jesus live in the wrong kingdom. We are comfortable with the old covenant rules, we like law rather than grace, etc. Jesus came to establish a new kingdom with very different values and functions. The disciples were convinced that Jesus was on the scene to set up a political kingdom and to replace the Roman Empire with a Jewish one. Nope. He was bringing the kingdom of heaven to earth and modeling a new lifestyle. This month we will be speaking from Matthew 6.
