“He was my hero!” Those were the words of Dr.James Dobson about his own father on Father’s Day at Fellowship Church as he spoke with Pastor Ed Young. The example of Dr. Dobson’s father prompted him to conclude as a boy, “I wanted to be like him. I wanted his God for my God, his values for my values.” Dads also play an irreplaceable role for daughters. Dr. Dobson said, “Her self-esteem hangs precariously on a relationship with her father.”
