Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the "gap is closing" between Israel and Hamas positions on a possible hostage deal. Meanwhile a U.N. official expressed deep concern over child hostages being held by Hamas.
Russia fired 31 missiles at Kyiv this morning in the first attack against the Ukrainian capitol in weeks. Ukraine intercepted all the missiles, but falling debris injured 13 people including a child.
And just ahead of a shutdown deadline on Friday, congressional leaders unveiled a $1.2 trillion spending package to fund the government. It’s still unclear whether a vote on package will happen ahead of Friday’s deadline.
